I got to the polls at 6:24 am!

For the first time ever in my life, I went to vote before work. This is a landmark in the life of Scott Schumacher. Ive always voted after work, but this morning I went early.

Dawn and I got to
Fairview city hall around 6:25am and there were already about 50+ people ahead of us in line. As soon as they opened the doors, we were able to step inside and wait at our specific table.

This also is my first experience with a fill in the dot type voting system. It was kinda cool and old school to fill in the dots, and have such a hands-on approach to something that so important.

I think, however, next presidential election, I will vote with my absentee ballott. Those used to scare me. Like, what happens if it gets lost? Will my vote count?

Anyways, I know its kinda dorky, but I feel good about voting early.. Like I was one of the 1st to vote in the 2008 election. An historic event for everyone, and for my voting habits.
